Candle Safety

-Read and follow all manufacturers instructions carefully.

-Never leave a burning candle unattended.

-Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

-Do not move a burning candle or place where there is a draft.

-Burn candles away from anything that can catch fire.

-Do not leave wick trimmings, used matches, or other debris in the candle.

-Keep wick trimmed to 1/4" to avoid smoking.

-Extinguish candle if it smokes, flickers repeatedly, or if the flame becomes too high. (Note: Let cool, trim wick, check for drafts, and relight)

-Remove all decorations, fabrics, etc. from candle before burning.

-Do not trim wick prior to the first burn.

-Candles have a burn memory. Always burn a candle until you have a complete melt pool. (edge to edge) This will ensure a proper burn every time you burn the candle.

-The best way to extinguish a candle is to dip the wick in the melt pool, and bring it back up straight. This will prime the wickfor the next burn, plus it does not create smoke.
